Join us for a discussion on the importance of being mindful. Mindfulness is the practice of bringing awareness to our immediate experience in a kind and curious way. This practice allows us to strengthen our attention and develop insight into ourselves and the world around us. John Shepard, a Certified Mindfulness Teacher will lead participants in a mindful meditation exercise.
Mindfulness meditation is one tool that can help us to check-in with ourselves, build skills to cope, and apply them to the challenging situations that arise. Research has shown that regular meditation practice can help improve mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Regular practice can help improve focus, promote greater self-awareness, developed deeper emotional intelligence and enhance a sense of wellbeing.
